DomainScan Pro is shareware.
DomainScan Pro is fully functional for a period of 30 days. After this period, DomainScan Pro will no longer be able to scan the network, and the DomainScan Client functionality will be greatly limited.
To continue operation beyond 30 days, one is required to obtain one or more license keys.
The license keys allows for one instance of DomainScan Service to be installed.
Running DomainScan Pro in a cluster or a cluster-like environment, including standby/mirrored setups, is permitted, as long as only one instance of DomainScan Service is active at any given moment.
DomainScan Client can be installed on as many devices as one might wish, as long as the device is monitored by DomainScan Service.
DomainScan Service is the part of the program that is responsible for information gathering
DomainScan Client is the administrative part of DomainScan, and is only needed in order to connect to the database, as well as use the various tools that are included in DomainScan

The € price is the estimated price, based on a conversion rate of 1,42. The conversion rate upon purchase is set by Share*It.

Software assurance
Included in a purchase is a 12 month software assurance. In case that the license key becomes obsolete within 12 months of purchase, contact GH Software for a replacement key.
Upgrade path assurance
License keys for DomainScan (Pro) 2.x can be used in the next major release with a 2:1 conversion rate (A license pack with 100 units for DomainScan Pro 2.x can be converted to a 50 unit license in DomainScan Pro 3.x)
The 12 month software assurance overrules the upgrade path assurance.
License keys from DomainScan 1.x will work with DomainScan (Pro) 2.x. The conversion rate is 1:1.
License units
DomainScan Pro utilizes a unique, transparent and flexible license model, which makes it possible only to purchase the amount of license units that are needed for your particular network.
In general these rules apply:
1 license unit per device, workgroup and domain
½ license unit per monitor and response
+ 1 license unit per server
+ 10% for Notifications
+ 10% for Per-device event logging

GH Software purchase and reseller information
GH Software has chosen the internationally known and respected company Share*It! as the official product reseller.
The actual order process is therefore handled by Share*It!. GH Software is not involved in the ordering process, and GH Software will never receive details about account numbers.
GH Software does however receive ordering information, which consists of company names, the name of the person that purchased DomainScan as well as the address and a few other details. This information is handled confidently.
The license key is generated automatically during the ordering process, and is therefore delivered at the same time as the order confirmation. GH Software is sent a copy of the license key.
