The Data analysis tool analyses data on-the-fly in order to present a number of small and comprehensible reports that can help one getting the overview.
For instance, Data analysis can be used to finding devices without the latest service pack or devices that are out of warranty.
Report optionsThis menu is enabled if the chosen report can be customized. For instance the Operating systems report can be grouped with or without service packs.
Below is shown the result from some of these small reports:
Operating systems with the Service Pack level option enabled
Network roles as reported by the LAN managerAll windows based network devices publish some of its features via the LAN Manager protocol, so that other devices can find certain network based services, for instance SQL services.
There are a number of roles, as specified in the table below. These roles are discovered by DomainScan at each scan, and this report shows these roles, and the devices that are reporting that they have this ability.
| Role | Note |
| Workstation service | Every NT based PC will run this service, unless turned off manually |
| Server service | Every NT based PC will run this service, unless turned off manually |
