NetScanG v4 brings a number of improvements, including service pack detection, improved stability and the ability to monitor up to 444 computers. And it’s still freeware.

Release Candidate 1 presents a number of improvements over version 1.05.
A new graphic unit can virtualize audit information, and the recreated scan range and warning system allows for flexible network monitoring.
On top of this, v1.1 fixes every issue found in v1.05, and is therefore the most stable release yet - even in its RC state

Windows XP Service Pack 2 will by default enable the firewall (which is a good thing), but unfortunately this also blocks for DomainScan (and NetScang).
In order for DomainScan to work, DCOM, RPC and “File and Printer Sharing” must be open. See Microsoft knowledge base articles

GH Software releases these two programs, DomainScan and NetScanG. This website is still in development, and neither of these two programs can be downloaded yet. The current version of NetScanG (v2.3) can be downloaded from
this site, as well as DomainScan v1.0RC3.
The final versions of DomainScan v1.0 and NetScanG v3.0 will be released May 10th (unless the final tests reveals critical bugs)
